Orchestra Toronto presents...

The Winters of Childhood

Happening in the George Weston Recital Hall

Pre-concert chat at 2:15 with Michael Newnham

Join Orchestra Toronto for our annual wintertime celebration of childhood, tradition, and the joys that come with snow, ice, and the turning of the year.

The Hockey Sweater is an iconic story of winter, hockey, and childhood. Abigail Schulte-Richardson's lively setting of the story includes narration, hockey sweaters, and a rivalry between the sections of the orchestra to rival the traditional Habs-Maple-Leafs rivalry.

Claude Debussy dedicated the Children's Corner to his three-year-old daughter. Each movement is inspired by one of her books or toys.
